MICHIGAN FOOTBALL get his weight up and never real- ized his possible potential. He will be eligible immediately because he is on pace to graduate in four years. Taylor-Douglas appeared in 15 ca- reer games for the Wolverines and carried 10 times for 18 yards last season. He bounced back and forth between the defensive and offensive backfields during his three years in Ann Arbor. A four-star defensive back in the 2013 class, ranked as the No. 22 cor- nerback and No. 241 overall prospect nationally, Taylor-Douglas graduated in three years, earning two seasons of eligibility as a graduate transfer. The week ended Jan. 15 with tail- back Derrick Green receiving his re- lease from Michigan to pursue other opportunities. The 5-11, 234-pound Green was a five-star recruit and the No. 1-ranked running back in the Class of 2013. However, he got off to an ominous start with the Wolverines, showing up to fall camp his freshman year overweight. Green suffered an ankle injury in fall camp and with the lingering ail- ment bothering him all year, he failed to live up to the overwhelming hype, rushing for 270 yards (3.3 yards per carry) and two touchdowns on 83 attempts. He entered his sophomore year in far better shape and was determined to win the starting job at Michigan. He made good on that promise, start- ing the first six games of the season, totaling 471 yards and three touch- downs on 82 attempts (5.7 yards per rush) before suffering a season-end- ing collarbone injury. Green earned just one carry in Michigan's 2015 opener against Utah and saw most of his action this year — 47 attempts for 157 yards (3.3- yard average) and two touchdowns — in the third and fourth quarters of Michigan's Outbound Graduate Transfers Cornerback Terry Richardson and tailback Ross Taylor-Douglas become the 10th and 11th Wolverines to make use of the graduate transfer rule since 2011.
