y now I'm sure you've noticed a great
number of videos posted on Facebook
News Feed by businesses or individuals. That's
because video is now the most effective way
to expand "reach," driving more than twice as
much as photo posts.

shares than any other type of Facebook
content.
• According to Socialbakers, Facebook has
surpassed YouTube as the most popular
platform for businesses to share videos.
What does this means for you in the indoor
sports and recreation facility industry? It
means it's time to think about your Facebook
marketing strategy.
Videos can be done very simply, without high
tech equipment or a large budget. Anyone
can do it. Even using your phone will work.
USING VIDEO
FOR FACEBOOK
MARKETING
Remember, your video doesn't have to be long
and complex; a 30-second video or less can
be effective. Here are some ideas on how
to incorporate video content for your indoor
facility.
• Customer interviews: Chat with a
program participant or marketing partner
and gather some insight into what they think
of your services or facility.
• Interviews with staff: Interview your
General Manager or Program Director about
a new product or service.
• Say "Thanks": Simply create a video for
your Facebook followers, who have been
there to support you.
• Special events: This can range from
simple things like a tournament to a 5K
Fundraising Event.
• Showcase what you offer: You already
have an amazing product, so show it in a
way that's never been done before. Let your
audience truly experience what it's like to be
a part of your community.
