One for "Hipster Man," entered in the Heat Transfers Category, Digital Entries; and another for "Dog & Butterfly Grooming Studio," in the Embroidery category. "I am very proud of the River's End decoration team," says John Maher, CEO, River's End. "Our work was compared to the best in the world, and we came out on top. That's quite an accomplishment." Nearly 400 entries in 53 product categories were submitted from 87 companies from around the world. alphabroder Adds Bodek and Rhodes to Family of Brands TREVOSE, Pa.—Sportswear and accessories distribu- tor alphabroder announces the addition of Bodek and Rhodes to its brands. Norman Hullinger, CEO of alphabroder, cites this integration as an effort to exceed customer service and delivery levels. "Bringing our organizations together will provide us with the flexibility and agility to focus 100 percent on our customers," explains Hullinger. Bodek and Rhodes CEO Mike Rhodes will serve on alphabroder's board of directors and continue as an owner of the company alongside family members. "We feel that we have chosen a partner that matches our value and commitment," adds Rhodes. Bodek and Rhodes marks the third major addition to alphabroder's brand lines since 2012. Previous brands include Imprints Wholesale and Ash City Worldwide. PolyOne Acquires Magenta Master Fibers CLEVELAND—PolyOne Cor- poration announces the acquisi- tion of Magenta Master Fibers, a developer of specialty solid color concentrates for the global fiber industry. PolyOne purchased Magenta from BASF for $22 million. The acquisition is expected to add $16 million to revenues and be accre- tive to earnings in 2016. Magenta will operate within PolyOne's global color, additives, and inks segment. "PolyOne's unique, customer- first approach to color and addi- tive solutions begins with an un- biased perspective as to the tech- nology. By offering both liquid and solid master-batch solutions, we better ensure that the chosen technology is the best one for each customer's specific needs," explains John V. Van Hulle, presi- dent of global color, additives, and inks, PolyOne Corporation. "With our acquisition of Magen- ta, we're very pleased to be build- ing this same, deep breadth of specialty solid and liquid colorant solutions for fiber applications."
