This year, the announcement that Bloc was set to move from its Butlins location of the last few years was met with disappointment by many of the festival's fanatics. But fear not because thankfully Southport Weekender has decided to remain at the popular festival site for the second year in a row - and if you like your house, funk, soul and boogie, the line-up is absolutely enormous.
Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Kerri Chandler, David Rodigan, Gilles Peterson, Julio Bashmore, Greg Wilson, Norman Jay and headline act Jill Scott are just a few of the world-beating names in attendance for this year's event, which promises to be yet another debaucherous weekend for the alternative Butlins crowd.
