Kettlekamp watches as his race
and owner Greg Vannucci's
car go up in smoke. The Lotus'
engine, a V6 sourced from
a Toyota Camry, threw a rod
on the front straightaway,
and Kettlekamp pulled it off
track at Turn 1, where the fire
started. When emergency
personnel arrived, the engine
bay and roof were engulfed
in flames. This was just part
of the action at this year's 25
Hours of Thunderhill presented
by Hawk Performance. For
