W e all have a routine we run through when we arrive at the track. Mine went like this: Park the truck and trailer; take the bike out of the trailer, then restack all the spare wheels and tires that had bounced all over the place on the way to the track. Frankly, I had grown tired of the routine, so it was time to do something about it, namely, installing a wall- mounted tire rack that would hold all my spare wheels and tires no matter how rough the roads are en route to the track. I noodled around online and found one from Pit Products. It was made of aluminum, which was what I wanted, and available in a 4-foot length. The length was perfect match for the inside supporting studs of my trailer, which are mounted on 24-inch centers. The price was good, too: $199.95. Everything looked good, so I bought one and had it shipped to me. I liked that it had black plastic caps that fit into the ends of the bar stock. It came with all the hardware necessary to mount it to the walls and to assemble it, but it was all grade 8 stuff, and since I knew I'd The end result is a solid mounting system for your spare wheels and tires.
