2 0 1 6 • WRAPS • 61 SWEETY HIGH: • Hardware removals: none (inlays behind the door handles) • Installer level: intermediate • Material: cast • Install time: two installers 4-8 hours • Install difficulty: medium • Durability: high For the Sweety High job, white trim was used around the main text on the full print that matches the original color of the vehicle. This gave the installer the option to only wrap the top of the door handles and put a stripe on the mirror. These "par- tial wraps" on the hot spots were quick to install and have a low failure rate as the most extreme angles were avoided. SMART CAR: • Hardware removals: medium (hatchback/door handles) • Installer level: intermediate • Material: cast • Install time: one installer 4-8 hours • Install difficulty: medium • Durability: medium On the smart car, the designer neutralized the difficult sec- tions on the back bumper (vents and steep scoop) by making the design fade to a solid red on the back bumper, that matched the original color of the car. This cut the install time down on this very difficult section by one to two hours and avoided major durability issues. In all three cases, the customer was given a slight discount on the overall price as install times were significantly lowered and durability issues avoided. More importantly, they were very satisfied with the overall look of the product as everything looked professional. If the client had wanted these areas fully wrapped and was willing to pay for the extra cost, then the installers/sign shop would then take into account the increase in difficulty and time of the install. Full Coverage on the Camo—Two to six extra install hours, cast film, 10 percent more material, two-installers recom- mended, lower durability likely. Full Coverage on Sweety High—Two to three extra install hours, two-installers recommended, no extra material, lower durability likely. Full Coverage on the Smart Car—One to two extra install hours, one-installer, no extra film, lower durability likely (espe- cially around the vents, which get very hot).
