The shoemaker sold and repaired boots and shoes, which were the hard- est items of clothing to make at home. Shoemakers often possessed a wide range of other skills, as well. They might be able to cut hair, sharpen knives and saws, and even pull teeth. This one is geared to proper disposal of pharmaceuticals. Although test results in Westport have shown no issues of pharmaceuticals in drink- ing water, however we still must be diligent in maintaining the environment. This tip recom- mends the proper protocols for the safe dis- posal of pharmaceuticals and prevents using unnecessary water to dispose of them. WATSON strongly urges everyone not to flush prescriptions down the toilet or put them in the garbage. There are "take back" pro- grams in place that ensure the safe disposal of pharmaceuticals. You can return your unused and expired medications to any pharmacy in Canada any day of the year. For free! Remember flushing prescriptions down the toi- let can be bad for the environment and it also uses 3-5 gallons of clean water on each flush, WOW. If you would like more information on this subject, visit the Government Of Canada website under "Safe Disposal Of Prescription Drugs". Until next week, WATSON says, remember water conservation and your envi- ronment.
