CONCEPTS FORD F-150 RAPTOR OE OFF-ROAD T ruck manufacturers often create some of the hottest off-road concept vehicles to attract attention to their next model pickup. These are four- wheel fantasies are exciting to see. But while the entire vehicles seldom make it into production, many of the components and body styling features are sometimes used in new model vehicles. With that said, the latest concept off- road trucks have SCORE racers and enthusiasts excited for the possibility of some renewed interest in off-road performance. As of press time Nissan, Ford and Chevy are all showcasing their own breed of off-road inspired vehicle, so incredibly performance-oriented that they could take you directly from the street to the extremes of the desert or beyond with little effort. While the question of whether or not a concept makes it into production is partly based on popularity, what the SCORE Journal discovered is that these trucks are more than good- looking. They back it up with heaping amounts of under- the-hood and undercarriage performance and just the right amount of off-road styling.
