ambassadors of our sport, trying to make off-road racing better known whether it's in Mexico City, or the U.S. or anywhere. I never imagined that I would be racing a Trophy Truck, win a SCORE Baja 1000 overall, or take Checo Perez for a ride. That's all above and beyond what I could have expected. I've had an amazing career and opportunities and its due to off- road racing. I am very fortunate, but I never expected it. SJ: You have three wins in a row at the SCORE San Felipe 250. Do you have a chance to make it four and set a new record? TV: I think there is a chance every year. I saw the SCORE press release how no one has ever won four in a row. Anytime you are knocking on history's door, whether it's being the first Mexican team to overall the 1000 or win four in a row, its special. It does not make it any easier. Each year it's harder to win and everyone is gunning for you. Our team is used to that though. We are used to being in everyone's crosshairs and we enjoy it. San Felipe is a race that suits my driving style. It's an aggressive drivers course. I think we have a good shot at four in a row. Hopefully I don't draw a start too far back in the pack. I know that if I am up front, I can be smart and run away with it. SJ: Is there more pressure on your since you are attempting a "four-peat"? Will you drive any differently or like it's just another 250? TV: I am taking it like it's another 250. It's just one more race that I have to win. Winning the last three years does not do anything for me this year in terms of points or standings. I don't think there is any added pressure but it would be cool and make a great story. I am going to pre-run like have always done, and pace myself like I have always done. SJ: For 2016 you switched to Toyo tires after many years with BF Goodrich. What prompted the change? TV: It's something we thought long and hard about. It was not an easy decision after so many years with BFG. It will be different and we have done a lot of testing. I am excited about the new Toyo tires. I look forward to helping develop their tire and make it better than it is -- and right now it is a very very good tire. It's a great thing for the team and we will see what happens. The wear VILDOSOLA HAS HAD MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO BE A SPOKESPERSON FOR THE SPORT AND HAS SHOWN SOME FORMULA 1 DRIVERS WHAT OFF-ROAD RACING IS ALL ABOUT. 039 SCORE JOURNAL
