Isabella Dora Corcelli, born in Providence, R.I., on Jan. 25, 1995. Daughter of Carol (D'Abbraccio) Corcelli and Michael Corcelli Jr. Loving sister to Michael and Joseph. Maternal granddaughter to the late Dr. William D'Abbraccio and the late Dora (Lusi) D'Abbraccio. Paternal granddaughter to the late Michael Corcelli Sr. and Theresa (Trapassi) Corcelli. Aunts Elizabeth D'Abbraccio and Brenda Corcelli and Uncle Paul D'Abbraccio. Cousins Tara Mekuto and Talia Reid. A true bellissima, Isabella's independent and determined nature, sparkling eyes, and precious smile will forever remain in the hearts of so many. Isabella's life of 21 years may seem brief, but all who were touched by her understood that the quality of one's existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. A 2013 graduate of North Providence High School, Isabella embraced her high school years with the enthusiasm of a model student; National Honor Society, Student Council vice president and treasurer, lacrosse, dance team, VAASA, office intern, and other activi- ties. She also volunteered in the St. Pius V community and held several part time jobs. She attended the University of New Hampshire and quickly became involved in dorm council, archery, and other activities. Due to reoccurring cancer, she returned home to attend Rhode Island College to pursue a nursing degree. Isabella competed and won Miss Rhode Island Italia USA as well as the swimsuit category in Miss Rhode Island 2015. She played an extra in the movie, "The Irrational Man," filmed in Newport, and was a company member of the State Ballet of Rhode Island, perform- ing in such productions as "Coppelia" and "Giselle." She later pursued ball- room dancing earning regional awards. The Make-a-Wish Foundation and her passion for dance led her to salsa with Tony Dovolani of Dancing with the Stars. Make-a-Wish of Rhode Island and Massachusetts continued their rela- tionship with Isabella and invited her to dance at their annual conference in Phoenix and gala in Providence. She is also featured in their promotions. A visitation was held on Sunday, Feb. 21, in the A.A. Mariani and Son Funeral Home, Providence. Funeral was Monday, Feb. 22, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pius V Church, Providence. Burial in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Isabella's memory to Make-a-Wish of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
