RED WING, Minn. – Northern Wholesale set a record for dealer attendance at its 29th Annual Super Show in January at the Trea- sure Island Resort and Casino. Northern General Manager John Perron said bone-chilling weather as the show kicked off was a nonfactor and that dealers and vendors all turned out and were in good spirits for the show. "It was a really good crowd – both dealers and vendors – and was the best we've ever had," Perron said. "The vendors all said they thought they had a really good show and good traffic throughout the day. It was a real positive vibe from the dealers. Some of them have already had pretty good Januarys, so that's a good signal that the season is starting out right." About 130 dealerships were represented and Perron estimated that would translate into about 360 dealer attendees. Perron said that the early show doesn't account for the bulk of Northern's yearly business, but that it helps dealers get off to a good start as they head into their individual open houses and regional retail shows. Throughout the show, dealers cast their votes for best new product on display at the show. Dealers selected the KING RV Media outdoor Bluetooth speakers as the winner. The weatherproof speaker system offers a wireless connection to music devices and even includes LED lighting that can be used to replace existing awning lighting. Also during the show, Northern Wholesale honored the top three dealers in its Thetford Dealers Program: • Top dealer Darrel Spoors of Hilltop Trailer Sales in Brainerd, Minn., won a Microsoft Surface Pro 3. • Runner-up dealer Mick Ferkey of Greeneway RV in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., won an iPad Mini. • Harlan Dean of Ted's RV Land in Paynesville, Minn., also was honored.
