amal Hardy has screwed up
before.
The Florida native was ac-
ademically ineligible as a high school
junior, a failure that cost him a chance
to get offered by Division I programs
back then. Now given the opportuni-
ty to play at one — he signed with
Purdue after two seasons at Monroe
Community College and is enrolled
for the spring semester — he isn't
about to slip up again.
Hardy plans to make the most of his
stay in West Lafayette, hoping he can
earn a starting job as soon as possible
in what will be a rebuilt Purdue sec-
ondary in 2016.
