TEAR AWAY STABILIZER American Embroidery Supply presents a 1.5-oz. tear away, which is suitable for stable woven fabrics such as towels, denim, nylon, and cotton twill and can be used as a stabilizer "sandwich" for added support. The premium-grade, firm tear away is made using the wet-laid process for multidirectional stability. It is made of synthetic and cellulose fibers treated with a chemical binder. A needle lubri- cant is added to ensure smooth sewing at all times. The stabilizer can be washed and dry cleaned, and remnants are said to remove cleanly when torn away. It comes in a 15" width in 25- and 50- yard lengths, a 23" width in a 125-yard length, and a 46" width in 125- and 250-yard lengths.
