TEAR AWAY STABILIZER American Embroidery Supply presents a 1.5-oz. tear away, which is suitable for stable woven fabrics such as towels, denim, nylon, and cotton twill and can be used as a stabilizer "sandwich" for added support. The premium-grade, firm tear away is made using the wet-laid process for multidirectional stability. It is made of synthetic and cellulose fibers treated with a chemical binder. A needle lubri- cant is added to ensure smooth sewing at all times. The stabilizer can be washed and dry cleaned, and remnants are said to remove cleanly when torn away.
