Leonie Bettel (Vienna, Austria), India Cly- burn (Cleethorpes, England), Naomi Ko (Victoria, British Columbia) and Laura Kowohl (Kronau, Germany) all enjoyed high-profile high school and international careers at the youth level, and they all ap- pear to have a bright future at NC State. Top Golfers Senior Rachael Taylor Following a breakout junior season that saw her become just the second NGCA all-regional per- former in NC State women's golf history, Taylor is the senior leader for the young Wolfpack squad. The Glasgow, Scotland, native began the spring slate with a team-best seventh-place finish (7-over-par 223) at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. Taylor started all 10 tournaments a year ago and led the team with a 74.73 stroke average. She tied for fifth place with a score of even par at the NCAA Raleigh Regional to earn all-region honors, and then she led the team to its 22nd-place finish at the NCAA Champion- ships. She played for Team Scotland at the European Ladies Championship last summer. Junior Sarah Bae A transfer from High Point, Bae adds some col- legiate experience to one of Page Marsh's best re- cruiting classes. Recruited by Marsh out of Raleigh's Athens Drive High School three years ago, Bae opted to attend High Point University instead and earned Big South Freshman of the Year honors in 2013-14 after winning the first two collegiate tour- naments of her career. She led High Point in the fall of 2014, averaging 73.42 strokes per round in four tournaments while finishing in the top 10 of all four and winning one individual championship. Freshman India Clyburn Clyburn stood out during the fall, averaging a team-best 73.75 strokes per round and earning the team's only two individual top-10 finishes. A native of Cleethorpes, England, she ranked 84th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings as a high school se - nior. She won the U21 Scotland Junior Ladies Stroke Play Championships by a tourney-record 12 shots, shooting 15 under par for the tournament and a 9-under 65 in the final round.
