10 | APRIL 2016 nshoremag.com Have a thought? We want to hear it. Send it to: editor@nshoremag.com or visit us at nshoremag.com Community Outreach I wanted to share this anecdote with you: A couple months ago when you featured Mel in your bartenders feature [November 2015, "Bar Stars," page 208], she mentioned that her favorite book was To Have and Have Another by Philip Greene. He somehow learned about the mention in Northshore magazine and got in touch with Mel directly to thank her and to suggest a book event at The Bancroft. Now all these months later, we are having an event with Hemingway- inspired cocktails, and Phil is going to come and talk about his book and Hemingway! A M Y S E V E R I N O , V I A E M A I L Many Massachusetts residents would say this state is a place they are proud to call home for its beautiful landscapes that change with the seasons, its rich history, and its New England charm. However, many still do not know that 114 of those scenic and cultural places spread across 26,000 acres are protected for them to enjoy by The Trustees. Northshore magazine has certainly been a huge part of increas- ing awareness of our organization and we are so grateful for that. D I R E C T O R O F P U B L I C R E L AT I O N S K R I S T I P E R R Y, V I A E M A I L I am receiving so many wonderful emails from my friends and clients who have already read the brand-new edition of Northshore magazine! This grateful advocate has been given voice, thanks to all of you. The article Regina Cole wrote ["Design with Dignity," page 170] on universal design looks fabulous. I want to thank you for the attention it brings to the continuum of lives that can be lived in one home. L I S A C . I love how you wove the interviews together and were able to suss it all out so clearly and concisely. You presented such a nice, wide variety of yoga, what it is, styles, reasons to practice, and just brought it all down to a place that is beauti- ful and accessible. S A R A H S H E A , V I A E M A I L The Stowe Mountain Ranch Yoga Retreat Center is featured in last month's issue of Northshore magazine for those of you north of Boston ["Home on the Range," page 38]. I'm from there, so my friends have to live with me on their coffee tables for a month.
