FILM FESTIVAL VENUES Paramount Theatre 713 Congress Avenue 1100 seats Built in 1915, this historic theatre is our largest venue, the location of many of our red carpet premieres and just a great place to see movies! Don't get scared off by long lines out front. It holds a lot of people! Once inside, enjoy their full bar, with snacks. Stateside Theatre 719 Congress Avenue 298 seats This vintage movie house was built next door to the Paramount Theatre and within sight of the State Capitol building in 1935. In addition to high profi le premieres, this is home to our Documentary Feature Competition premieres and Midnight screenings! Plus, they have a full bar and snacks. Vimeo Theater at the Austin Convention Center (ACC) 500 Cesar Chavez New Location: Ballroom A (Entrance by Cesar Chavez and Red River) 450 seats Located inside the Austin Convention Center, the Vimeo Theater is at the heart of the conference and festival. It's our 2nd largest venue and is within walking distance of the Alamo Ritz, Stateside Theatre and Paramount Theatre. In addition to anticipated fi lm premieres, this venue hosts our Film Keynotes, Episodic screenings and other special event screenings. Alamo Ritz 320 East 6th Street 1: 172 seats, 2: 69 seats The Ritz is an intimate, two screen theater located on 6th Street in the heart of Austin's club district, only a few blocks away from the Austin Convention Center. They serve a full menu of food and drink at your seat, including beer and liquor! It's a great venue, but the screenings fi ll up fast. For Midnight screenings, both screens will show the same fi lm simultaneously with streamed Intros and Q&As to the second screen. Plan to arrive extra early to ensure that you'll get a seat. Topfer Theatre at ZACH 1510 Toomey Road 420 seats The striking Topfer Theatre is the latest addition to the 84-year-old ZACH and will host a full array of screenings including Red Carpets, high profi le premieres, and more. It is a great place to grab a drink from the bar or bite to eat. Handily located on the Festival Shuttle route, it's also a brief walk from the Rollins Theatre at the Long Center and Long Center Terrace. Rollins Theatre at the Long Center 701 West Riverside Drive 210 seats This venue is located on the street level of the Long Center for the Performing Arts and on the Festival Shuttle route between downtown and The Topfer Theatre at ZACH. Enjoy the full bar with snacks in the lobby. Alamo Lamar 1120 South Lamar Blvd A: 198 seats, B: 198 seats, C: 126 seats D: 126 seats The Alamo Lamar is back with four screens for the festival! Enjoy the full menu of food and drink they bring to your seat: including beer, liquor and wine. When not taking in a fi lm, check out the revamped Highball directly adjacent to the theater with it's extensive bar selection and relaxing patio area. Alamo Lamar will show an array of our edgier programming and hosts Midnight screenings all 9 days of the fest! Long Center Terrace 701 W Riverside Dr The Long Center Terrace will play host to our fi rst ever SXSW Outdoor Film Screening Series! Three nights of fi lm, food and fun on the Long Center Lawn from Saturday, March 12 to Monday, March 14. Satellite Venues These venues are outside the downtown footprint of the festival and are not serviced by the Festival Shuttle, but offer additional screening opportunities to our fi lmmakers and local fi lm audience. They feature a full menu of food and drink – beer included! Filmmakers and cast often attend for Q&As.
