Smith said. "It's the first time I've been injured in my life. It's making a man out of me. It's just a process of having great guys around you to encourage and support you." C.J. PROSISE ADMITS POSITIONAL UNCERTAINTY PUSHED HIM TOWARD THE NFL While training in Chicago at EFT Sports Performance with former Irish linebacker and current trainer Kerry Neal, running back C.J. Prosise is con‑ stantly reminded of the career of for‑ mer Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte. Prosise said he hopes to model his play after Forte, who has carved out a career as a versatile running back. "I've been training in Chicago, so I've seen a lot of stories about how he works, and I've been trying to mimic the way he works and the things he does," Prosise said. "I want that type of career. "I'm saying I'm a three‑down guy and a guy you can break the forma‑ tion with, kind of like a Matt Forte type running back that can make big plays in the running game and pass‑ ing game." The former Irish running back, who moved to the position from slot re‑ ceiver less than one year ago, said the decision to pass up a fifth season at Notre Dame was made easier by the fact he will receive his degree in May. "That's the main thing I'm getting out of the whole equation," he said. "For me, it was kind of a decision be‑ tween me and my family." Prosise admitted that questions about which position he would play in 2016 also made it easier to depart.
