The legend of the Easter Bunny originated in Germany, where the "Easter Hare" judged chil- dren's behavior at the beginning of the season of Eastertide to see if they were good or bad, playing a similar role to that of Santa Claus. Most residents will be starting dehumidifiers soon to rid their basements of moisture and musty smell. WATSON asks, "Did you know that a dehumidifier being used during spring and summer will remove 10-16 litres of water per day?" Just imagine if 100 houses dumped that water down the sink or in the toilet? This would equate to at least 1,000 litres of clear water being treated unnecessarily each day. WOW. WATSON'S message here is to NOT put that water down your sink or toilet. You can dump it outside, or drain it into your sump pump hole if it drains properly to the outside. You can also use it to water indoor and outdoor plants. Until next week, WATSON says, remember to think water conser- vation.
