but the town and people; they
are always so nice. You could
not ask for a better race course.
I like the atmosphere of racing
in Baja, you are not getting
hounded by the BLM. You can
do things at your own pace, like
pre-run when you want to. All
the locals are willing to help.
I have been in crashes or had
mechanical issues, and they
want to take parts off of their
own vehicles to get involved and
help you out. To me off-road
racing is Baja."
Moving forward, the team
plans to focus solely on the
SCORE series and the goal is
to win a championship. "At this
point as it's our first season
racing SCORE Trophy Truck and
I would be really happy to win
a championship. Winning the
SCORE Baja 1000 is the ultimate,
so if we could do both, it would
be extremely awesome. We are
out there with all the rest of the
racers and know what it takes to
win so we are very grateful for
the win in San Felipe."
"First and foremost, I have to
thank my family and my wife.
She runs my business and
watches our three kids when I
am out of town racing. I want
to thank my father in law for
supporting our team and I want
to thank all my teammates as
well. They all do their jobs and
are willing to help."
Billy Wilson and the Bevly
Wilson Racing team will take on
the SCORE Baja 500 in June. SJ
