Since conventional toilets use 5 to 7 gallons on each flush, WATSON strongly urges you to consider changing over to a low flush toilet which uses as little as 1.6 gallons, WOW. Since the average person flushes 5 times a day, the gallons can really add up. If you cannot replace your higher volume toilet, place a plastic bottle filled with water in the toilet tank to reduce the amount of water per flush. WATSON also would like to remind you not to flush things down the toilet just to dispose of them. Throw your tissues and other bathroom waste in the garbage can which does not require gallons of water. Also, if it is yellow, let it mellow. If you are grossed out by the yellow, just put the lid down. Until next week, WATSON says, remember to think water conservation.
