FOOTBALL RECRUITING BY TIM SULLIVAN A fter the conclusion of the regular season each fall, the recruiting pro- cess changes its focus and approach. While the class that signs in February heads to overdrive, with post-sea- son official visits prioritized and the coaches working to finish up the group, future classes take a backseat after dozens of them have visited for home games throughout the season. While Michigan's coaching staff has hosted visitors from the 2017 class and beyond since National Sign- ing Day, they've generally come in smaller groups and were spread out during the run of the Wolverines' spring practice sessions. That changed April 1, when a col- lection of prospects that would rival an in-season visit list made their way to the annual spring game. Under the lights on a Friday night provided an atmosphere to enjoy. PLEDGES IN THE HOUSE Several of Michigan's already com- mitted players headed to town to see their future squad take the field. Bloomfield Hills (Mich.) Brother Rice tight end Carter Dunaway was on hand. The 6-6, 232-pounder was the Wolverines' first pledge in the class, picking U-M during the week of the 2015 spring game.
