  FOOTBALL RECRUITING Corey Malone-Hatcher is rated as the No. 13 strongside defensive end in the land and the No. 7 player in Michigan. The 6-3, 246-pounder out of St. Joseph (Mich.) High has been a consistent presence on the Michigan campus and stayed overnight to at- tend the following day's spring game. Bullard (Texas) High four-star tight end Major Tennison, listed No. 10 na- tionally at his position by Rivals, is committed to his home-state Long- horns, but has kept his options open, and that included a trip to Ann Arbor for the spring game. While Texas re- mains the favorite to hold onto him, the use of tight ends in Ann Arbor is certainly something that will earn his continued attention. Another Midlands standout, Mus- tang (Okla.) High three-star defensive tackle Deontre Thomas, also took in the U-M experience — even if it didn't start when he was expecting it to. "I actually missed my flight," Thomas said with a laugh. "I put my bag and everything on the plane but then with security and check in and everything I missed my flight. The whole trip was great, though. "Even though I missed the spring game, they took me around and showed me everything. I saw all of the facilities. I met all of the coaches, and I love them. I feel like I can really trust them, and I definitely believe in what they're doing." Future classes were also represented in Ann Arbor, including a handful of prospects that have made several past trips to Ann Arbor.
