DRUM N BASS / DUBSTEP 39 www.guestlist.net GUESTLIST RECOMMENDS NORTH BASE Following the release of their debut E.P "Fright Night / Hallow 808" 2012 looks to be a busy year for Manchester collaboration, North Base. The last Friday of every month means one thing for drum and bass heads; Playaz @ Fabric. At one of the finest clubs in the world, DJ Hype and LTJ Bukem play host to the freshest drum & bass going in London. When the headliners Hazard, Fabio, Original Sin and the legendary Potential Bad Boy, we know this one is not to be missed. For the best in jump- up drum & bass make your way to room one where Kiss FM's DJ Hype and guests have been consistently filling the fabric dance floor for many years. For the more sensual, liquid funk side of the drum n bass scene, two of the innovators of drum n bass; Bukem and Fabio are supporting acts such as Marky, include you with the most exclusive, guaranteed to provide soulful For those who have been to Fabric before, you will know what to expect. For those that haven't, Fabric is a special club. With a 1,800 person capacity, arguably the highest quality and tracks in the country. in Britain and a 'bodysonic' dance floor (the floor actually emits bass frequencies) Fabric consistently plays host to one of the most authentic underground loudest sound London. Playaz is often a sell out event so get your tickets early to avoid the inevitable queue Street. club down nights in Charterhouse system 7 REGULATE PRESENT THE EXIT FESTIVAL PRE PARTY @ FIRE 26TH MAY Silver, Prophecy, Sonic, Microcosm, Ikee B & host MC Longman make up the collaboration; with each of them boasting a history in the Manchester dance scene, music production and music promotion. Between them, the 'six horseman' can be linked to names such as Metalheadz, Renegade Hardware and Hospital. In creating their new force, however, North Base claim to 'ignite a fresh and new exciting sound to the world of 140'. Unrestricted to the genre definition, their music shows influences of garage, jungle, breaks, house and dubstep but it would be difficult to claim that their music sits directly into any of these genres. North Base came third in the 2012 national Drum & Bass Awards under the "Best Breakthrough Producer" category – a respectable accolade when considering they were topped only by Majistrate and Wilkinson, both of whom have had huge success in the past year. North Base have already provided remixes for acts such as Laidback Luke, Ms. Dynamite and Labyrinth, which has not gone unnoticed by the likes of Skream & Benga, MistaJam and Annie Mac. With a very busy schedule for 2012, North Base can be caught up and down the country at some of the UK's biggest parties and appearing on the festival circuit during the summer. We recommend keeping an eye on them as they rapidly fire out new music and begin to make a real name for themselves in the dance scene. A recent FABRICLIVE promo mix can be found through the Fabric website. http://ttt/north-base Make sure you catch Toddla T at one of his dates this summer, this rudeboy will be smashing the festival circuit.
