now it's just another win and I plan on winning a lot more SCORE Baja 1000s. Hopefully one day I can get up there with Roeseler's record of 13 (Roeseler won 10 on a motorcycle). That's a pretty daunting task, but that is my goal. SCORE Journal: These five SCORE Baja 1000 overall wins and your many other wins puts you into legendary status. Have you thought about that? Andy McMillin: I'm a pretty humble person, I don't brag about myself. So when other people say it to me, I like that. But I don't like being the guy who goes out and tells people I'm a badass, and that I won all these races, and just tied the record for most SCORE Baja 1000 wins. It means a lot to me when other people notice it. That resonates a lot more with me. It is really cool that I have won with two of the biggest stars in off-road racing, Robby Gordon and Rob MacCachren, who are legends in their own right and to also win it in my own truck as well. I think that shows that I am a good team player, that I think about the team and the truck and the race more than I think about myself. I grew up playing basketball, a team sport and that's how I race. It's about the team, I'm just the driver. There is my navigator who makes sure I don't get dumb and run off the course, then my team that makes sure all the pits are in place and performed to the best of their abilities to get me out front. All the guys that prep the truck so it doesn't break. There are so many thing that can go wrong on these trucks. It's amazing that two-years in a row you can put together a run like Rob and I had; it's really special. SCORE Journal: Would you push harder in your own truck, or do you back it down knowing it is someone else's truck? Andy McMillin: Before I get in the truck, I remind myself that it is Rob's truck, and we were in the points battle.
