ATTENDING THE
SCORE BAJA 500
One of the first things to
know is that the SCORE Baja
500 will celebrate it's 48th
anniversary June 1st through
the 5th in Ensenada, Baja
California, Mexico. The race
began in 1969, until Mexican
government officials asked
SCORE International to take over
the event in 1974. Since then, it
has been run and operated by
SCORE for 39 years. The race is
approximately 500 miles, and is
one of the most grueling races
in off-road racing history. Many
off-road racers from around
the world, come to compete in
this iconic race, for the chance
to say they've participated,
and for the lucky few, to add
the win to their record.
WHERE TO STAY
Accommodations in Ensenada
range from low-budget to
luxurious five-star rated hotels.
Hostels and apartments are
also readily available, so
it's best to check with your
travel agent to see what
best fits your price range.
For SCORE International staff
and guests of SCORE, they stay
at the Corona Hotel & Spa.
While it may be difficult to get
a room there during a SCORE
race, you can bet that you'll
see racers and special guests at
the hotel's coffee bar, El Ancia.

SCORE teams and guests often
stay at these other hotels too:

popular hotel on the marina
that is only 10 minutes away
from downtown Ensenada,
Guadalupe Vineyards and
more. www.hotelcoral.com
