MAY 2016 ■ 63 ■ FOOTBALL RECRUITING Fleet-Davis had hoped to visit NC State for the spring game, but a sched- uled ACT test prevented that from happening. However, he is expected to be in Raleigh at some point this summer. He told Rivals.com that he wants to evaluate his options after the summer camp season. Rivals.com rates Fleet-Davis the No. 24 running back in the country's 2017 class and the No. 11 junior in his home state. He ran 111 times for 748 yards and four touch- downs as a junior while playing behind a senior, Calil Wilkins, who ran for 1,491 yards on 168 carries. DEFENSIVE LINEMAN XACH GILL Wake Forest (N.C.) High Gill may not make a decision over the summer, but at a minimum he wants to nar- row down his focus. NC State should be optimistic about making the four- star prospect's cut list. He made only one recruiting visit in the spring, and that was to watch a Wolfpack practice. "I like NC State a lot. I can see myself playing there," said Gill, who also went to a NCSU junior day in January. The 6-5, 270-pounder also has offers from Miami, North Carolina, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest, among others. Rivals.com rates Gill the No. 15 rising senior defensive tackle in the country and No. 8 prospect in the state's 2017 class. He had 51 tackles as a junior for Wake For- est, helping them to an undefeated regular season record before they were upset in the second round of the 4-AA state playoffs. Gill also had six tackles for loss and four sacks. LINEBACKER SHERROD GREENE Rocky Mount (N.C.) High The 6-1, 220-pound Greene made 154 tackles, including 11 for loss and five sacks, to help Rocky Mount to a 3-A state title this past sea- son. That has helped lead to offers from NC State, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest, among others. NCSU was the first one on that list, and they coaching staff has not hidden their desire for Greene to make a commitment to them. ♦ Tailgate Specials ♦ Catering Services ♦ College Student Discounts ♦ Pizzas 1/2 off during AWAY games 3905 WESTERN BLVD • RALEIGH, NC 27606 (919) 851-0473 • WWW.AMEDEOSRESTAURANT.COM AMEDEO'S ITALIAN RESTAURANT Dry Clean Your Carpets! commercial residential Since 1987 www.bmsdry.com Environmentally safe "green" system No soapy residue common to steam cleaning systems Fully bonded and insured Safe for children and pets • • • • No waiting on carpets to dry Proven system – millions of square feet cleaned in the Triangle since 1987 Wolfpack family owned and operated • • • Phone: 919-834-1990 • Fax: 919-834-1998 bms12@nc.rr.com – commercial jed.barbour@bmsdry.com – residential Ask about our Sure Step non-slip floor treatment!
