PREP PROFILES Jordan Anthony, a Maryland na- tive playing his high school ball at Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, is still finding himself as a player and a recruit. The 6-1, 220-pounder is moving from running back to inside line- backer on a full-time basis this up- coming season and should flourish. Rivals.com al- ready considers him to be the No. 23 player in the talent-rich state of Florida, and the No. 3 in- side linebacker a n d N o . 9 3 overall player nationally. T h i n g s a r e starting to take shape on the recruit- ing trail as well. Anthony hasn't re- leased a top group yet, but when he does the Maize and Blue should be in good position. "Michigan is definitely a solid top- five school for me," Anthony said. "I don't necessarily have a top five right now, but I just know that Michigan is solidly in the mix. I will be releas- ing a top 10 soon and they will be in there." Rivals.com Mid-Atlantic recruiting analyst Adam Friedman has been fol- lowing Anthony's recruitment since he played at Good Counsel in Ol- ney, Md. With a top 10 ready to drop soon, Friedman has a bead on where Anthony will be looking. "Some of the other schools to ex- pect on that short list are Oklahoma, Maryland, Clemson, Penn State, Vir- ginia Tech, Auburn and LSU," he said. "Anthony wants to announce a top 10 within the next few weeks." Anthony wasn't shy about his af- finity for the Maize and Blue but also wanted to make it clear that he does not have a leader at this time. When his top 10 is re- leased he'll be able to focus on those schools, but for n o w t h i n g s a re pretty open for him and he plans to remain patient throughout the process. "There's a lot to like about Michi- gan, but I'm nowhere close to a com- mitment yet," he said. "I've thought it all out with Michigan and why I like them. They are definitely in the mix." Anthony cited Michigan's busi- ness school, elite coaching staff and the vibe he felt during his visit for the spring game as the main reasons why the Wolverines will make the cut. Moving forward, a return trip to Ann Arbor could be huge in pushing U-M from the top half of his group to the apex. — Brandon Brown Florida Linebacker Impressed By The Wolverines ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ IMG Academy Bradenton, Fla.
