the headlights and taillights. The truck's interior has a few more electronics than it did back in the '90's but remains 100 percent race ready. The aluminum paneling was crafted by Tim Everts, who also helped with the wiring of the many switches, Auto Meter gauges, and Lowrance GPS system. A pair of Corbeau racing seats with Mastercraft Safety harnesses were also added and keep Coleman and his co-pilot secured to the vehicle, while a PCI Race Radio system allows for constant communication between them and their crew. It's likely that Roseanne has seen many engine and drivetrain changes over the years, but Coleman decided he'd drop in a 580 cubic inch Ford Big Block. Built by Greg Grosset at Total Performance in Santee, California, the engine is balanced, blueprinted and makes 550 horsepower and 550 lbs.-ft. of torque. The headers were fabricated by Lawrence at TLR Performance and route the exhaust gasses out through a set of Magnaflow race mufflers. The engine uses a Reid TH400 automatic transmission that is connected to a hefty racing driveshaft from Inland Empire Driveline, which spins the nine-inch rear that has been outfitted with 4:30 ring and pinion gears and 46 spline axles. While the truck is as beautiful as ever, Coleman is ready to take this onto the race course and do battle with other Class 8 vehicles, perhaps at the 49th SCORE Baja 1000 this year. "After completing the build and testing of the truck, I realized that it would be competitive in SCORE and other race venues," said Coleman. "I know that the SCORE Baja 1000 is coming in November and would love to race this truck in it!" Aside from the memories Roseanne would bring when it shows up to a SCORE event, there's still plenty of veteran racers who would love to see what Coleman has done with the truck and applaud him for his efforts in bringing an iconic truck back to Baja.
