"We continue to invest capital in ways to better support our dealers to make them more successful and make them more profitable," Sammut said. "That is always something a dealer not only wants to hear, but wants to be shown and proven that they truly do have a partner in Newmar." Newmar's other models saw similar changes as the RV maker boasted of its increased market share over the past year. Newmar does not strive to be the No. 1 motorhome manufacturer. Neverthe- less, Newmar's total Class A motorhome sales increased nearly 30 percent and, as a result, grew market share by nearly 15 percent, according to market data firm Statistical Surveys. Newmar's entry-level Bay Star Sport offers four new floorplans for 2017. The Canyon Star also offers four new floorplans, including the all-new 3925 model, which features bunk beds and two full bathrooms complete with two showers. The Ventana LE has three new models, including a new 40-inch by 32-inch residential shower on select models, similar to what Newmar offers in its higher-end products. "It was a good year of refinement on the appearances of the interiors," said Jon Steinbring of Steinbring Motorcoach in Garfield, Minn., whose dealership made double-digit order of new motorhomes at the event. "There also were a lot of new floorplans this year. About half the floorplans were new, so that was exciting. They did all the big changes last year and just refined them even better for 2017." Newmar's best-selling brand during the 2015 calendar year, the Dutch Star, experienced a 53 percent increase in sales. Many items that had been options will be standard equipment for 2017, including Newmar's full paint Master- piece finish with a high-gloss "cut-and- buff " application. Spartan and Freightliner chassis will Newmar dealers gather around tables to discuss their orders from the manufacturer's 2017 offerings. Dealers filled out orders based on the options offered on each model.
