"Teams that come in before 4:00 get an extremely discounted rate," says Andrew.
An Ultimate program for high school players can grow as players graduate from high school and play in adult leagues.
Ultimate is gaining popularity. Those who have not yet experienced the game by playing it can catch a glimpse of it this summer as our country's first professional league, the American Ultimate Disc League, plays its first season. The AUDL, which began play in April, includes eight teams: Bluegrass Revolution (Lexington, KY), Columbus (OH) Cranes, Detroit Mechanix, Indianapolis Alley Cats, Buffalo Hunters, Connecticut Constitution, Philadelphia Spinners and Rhode Island Rampage. Games will take place all summer, with a championship on August 11 in the Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan. More teams are expected to join the league next season.
As more and more players enjoy the game, consider adding Ultimate to the programming at your facility. You have the field. All you need is a disc.
