it is great but I am not at the
point where I am thinking of my
legacy. Looking at the names
of the other winners, they are
all guys I looked up to, some
are still racing and they are
guys your respect, they are the
cream of the crop of our sport.
To be mentioned in the same
breath as Ivan Stewart, Larry
Ragland, and Rob MacCachren,
those are the titans of our
sport, it really doesn't get
much better than that.
Rob was with our team in
the early Trophy Truck days
and I learned a lot from him.
He taught me how to pre-
run, how to race, and how
to attack a course. I think
Andy McMillin is the strongest
competitor out there, he's a
monster behind the wheel. I
respect the hell out of him and
I think he is a contender to
win absolutely every time he
gets in a truck. It's cool to be
in that company and I cherish
it. I think it will mean more to
me later. Right now we are just
focused on the next race.SJ
THE HEAT IN ENSENADA TOOK ITS TOLL ON
VILDOSOLA, WHO WAS DEHYDRATED, YET
ELATED AT HIS SCORE BAJA 500 VICTORY.
WITH A LIGHTER-
WEIGHT TROPHY TRUCK
VILDOSOLA WAS ABLE
TO RUN FASTER IN THE
EXTREME HEAT, BEATING
OUT ALL OF THE OTHER
COMPETITORS WHO HAD
TO SLOW DOWN TO KEEP
THEIR VEHICLES ALIVE.
