The First Look
Water, Water Everywhere
Purdue athletic facilities personnel have been
put to the test this summer following a water
main break in May that caused flooding in the
football locker room, volleyball's Holloway
Gymnasium and in Mackey Arena. Workers are
replacing the warped floor at the volleyball
court, which is "guaranteed" to be finished by
Aug. 9, the first day of practice.
The damage to Keady Court wasn't as severe
as Belin Court in Holloway, but it will cause
the men's basketball reunion, scheduled for
Aug. 6, to be moved off-site. The football
locker room, also damaged, is being used after
players were displaced temporarily. The cost of
the repairs will be covered by insurance.
