Some possibilities: • Georgia safety Drew Tejchman visited Purdue in late June and holds an offer from the Boilermakers. He says he plans to make a decision this summer and lists Ball State and Charlotte in his top three also, so Purdue would stand as his best offer. • Georgia wide receiver Travan Hawes says he's committing this summer, with Minnesota perhaps being the best bet. But he does intend to visit West Lafayette, likely in July, whether he's committed elsewhere or not. • Travell Harris is a slot receiver type from Tampa and a 7-on-7 teammate of QB commitment Griffin Alstott. That connection will matter if Purdue really leans on Har- ris as a target and gets him on campus this summer. FULL HOUSE AT QUARTERBACK With Sipe and Alstott committed, Purdue is slated to have five scholarship quarterbacks come next September, none of which will be seniors in 2017. Assuming no attrition, current sophomore David Blough, current redshirt freshman Elijah Sindelar and current freshman Jared Sparks still will be in the program when the two commitments are slated to enroll. That's a big, maybe unprecedented, number at Purdue, especially when you take into account all were recruited solely as quarterbacks. Purdue had seven quarterbacks on scholarship for a short time under Danny Hope, but nearly half of them were athlete-types and each of those players eventually moved to other positions. j
