Coaches battle each other across the map and in every sport for the best players for their respective systems. Michigan coaches consistently land top athletes from across the globe in a variety of sports. Here is a look at 10 of the best incoming women's Olym- pic sports freshmen for the coming year: Tiffany Clark; Naperville, Ill.; volleyball — PrepVolleyball.com's No. 24 Senior Ace, Clark is report- edly the best libero the state of Illi- nois has ever produced, according to the website. She has been an integral part of championship programs at both the high school and club levels. At Benet Academy, she was a three-year varsity letter winner and led her squad to a runner-up finish at the IHSA State Championships dur- ing her sophomore campaign before winning the title as a junior. As a senior, Clark served as the team captain and was selected as the East Suburban Catholic Conference Player of the Year. She concluded her senior year honors with an Under Armor All- America second-team selection. In addition to her high school play, Clark helped Sports Performance Vol- leyball Club to AAU Open National Championships in both 2013 and 2015, and she was the starting libero for the Junior National Team. Dur- ing those championships runs for her club, Clark was also an Open National Championship All-America selection. Kysre Gondrezick; Benton Har- bor, Mich.; basketball — Gondrezick made national news by scoring 72 points in one game — the most ever by a high schooler in Michigan — as a senior during a season that earned her Michigan Miss Basketball honors. She averaged 40.5 points per game as a se- nior and finished her career with 2,827 points, which ranks second all time in Michigan. She also won Gatorade Player of the Year laurels for the Great Lakes State. She played in the Jordan Brand Classic and was named to the All-USA second team by USA Today.
