W hen you ask people who know Mike Bobinski well, you hear the above statements sprinkled liberally through the conversations. The mes- sage was remarkably consistent. On Aug. 9, when President Mitch Daniels introduced Bobinski as the school's ninth full-time athletic director, and the first with no previous direct tie to the school, the process of learning more about the 58-year- old Bobinski began for coaches, fans, administrators and student-athletes. Most certainly in the coming weeks and months there will be a lot more learned about the native of Yaphank on Long Island, but here is an early glimpse into the man that will lead the Boiler- maker athletic program.
