PITTSBURGH—Poly- concept North America (PCNA) is awarded several Hermes Creative Awards from the Association of Marketing and Commu- nication Professionals. The Polyconcept team received three Platinum Awards, the competition's highest honor, two Gold Awards and three Honorable Mentions for its work on Leed's and Bullet marketing communications. The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media. JULY 2012 KNOXVILLE, Tenn.—Threds Inc. and John Payne launch Threds 151, a brand new artist-based initiative. Threds 151 is a cutting-edge apparel brand that utilizes a com- munity of talented, driven designers and Threds Inc.'s manufacturing processes and retail connections to take a product line from concept to the shelves of national retailers in less than six months. Threds 151 will compile a book of apparel designs to present to national retailers. Artists and designers are invited to take part in the opportunity, gaining valuable experi- ence and national recognition. Compensation will be received for designs that make the book, with additional residual rewards for "big sellers" and designs picked by retailers.
