Our Neighbors Brooke Compton & Glenn Aaron Tarter Compton & Tarter announce engagement Terry Compton and Rhonda Compton of Somerset, Ky., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Brooke Elizabeth Compton, to Glen Aaron Tarter. Aaron Tarter is the son of Chuck and Tracie Tarter of Somerset, Ky. Miss Brooke Compton is the granddaughter of Doris and Robert Compton of Somerset, Tommy Tucker and the late Mary Tucker of Bronston, Ky. Mr. Aaron Tarter is the grandson of Curt and Sandy Tarter of Somerset and Glen and Joyce Dalton of Bronston, Ky. Miss Compton graduated from Pulaski County High School and Somerset Community College. Miss Compton is currently employed by Houchens Industries. He is employed by UPS and Tarter Landscaping. Donna is a 2005 and 2008 graduate of the University of Kentucky. In May 2012, she graduated with her doctorate in Human Development and Family Science at the University of Georgia. Donna is a professor at Bridgewater College in Virginia. Bryan is a 2004 graduate of Georgia Tech in construction engineering and received a MBA from the University of Georgia in 2010. Currently, he works for Athens Regional Medical Center. The couple will be united in marriage September 29, 2012, in Somerset, Ky. Formal invitations will be sent. Bryan Hoskins & Donna Hancock The Godbys celebrate 50th This fall she will pursue a dental assisting degree at ChoiceMD. Mr. Tarter graduated from Southwestern High School. The wedding will be held on July 28, 2012, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at Quinton Baptist Church. anniversary Richard and Judy (Woodall) Godby were married June 30, 1962, by the Rev. Pete Arnold at Science Hill Methodist Church. A reception will immediately follow in the fellowship hall after the ceremony. All friends and family are invited to attend. They are the parents of three children: Susan (and Mark) Marlow, Somerset; Scott Godby, Lexington; and Sherri (and Bryan) Rice, Lexington. They have one step-grandson, Dalton Marlow, Somerset. Judy & Richard Godby Happy 50th Anniversary! Jerry & Cheryl Arlaud Jerry and Cheryl Arlaud of Nancy will celebrate 50 years together. Mary-Grace Mary-Grace joins the King Family Lonnie and Margaret King of Ferguson would like to announce the addition of a daughter, Mary-Grace, to their family. Mary-Grace is their 11th child and is welcomed by her sisters: Maggie and Rebekah; and brothers, Shaun, Joshua, Matthew, Jacob, Christian, Lukas, Jordan and Levi. Jerry and Cheryl Arlaud Jerry and Cheryl were married on July 7, 1962. Originally from Indianapolis, Ind., Jerry and Cheryl reside in Nancy. They have two daughters, Stacey (McIntosh) Ping of Eubank, Ky., and Shana Simpson of Franklin, Ind.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend a small celebration at their residence on July 5, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The couple will reside in Virginia.
