www.travelweekly-asia.com | 11 PRODUCT: FOOD & WINE WELCOME TO 'THE TABLE', SAYS SHANGRI-LA Elegant; Intimate; Upbeat; Chill; Adventurous – which- ever your mood, there's a restaurant or bar for you. By Lee Xin Hui Shangri-La launches The Table, a new F&B loyalty programme. Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has launched The Table, a new food and beverage loyalty programme for members who dine at their food establishments in their properties. This comes as part of the ongoing transformation of Golden Circle (GC). Addressing the media at the Singapore launch on September 14, Reto Klauser, vice president and general manager of Shangri- La Hotel Singapore, said, "We've always enjoyed incredible support from travellers around the world. It's only natural to reward this remarkable loyalty our entire brand is built on with a powerful and all- encompassing reward programme." "Besides rooms, our business comprises two other main pillars: banquets and restaurants. Very often, one and the same person could be using us in all three ways," he added. Through The Table, members get access to Instant Dining Rewards, which allows them to earn and redeem on the spot on all qualifying transactions – including discounts. Members also earn GC Award Points when they dine at more than 500 restaurants and bars in Shangri-La, Hotel Jen, Kerry and Traders properties worldwide when they are non-staying guests. For Jade and Diamond level members, they receive bonus earnings and more value on redemptions for dining transactions. During the dinner launch, those present were treated to a unique culinary experience comprising dishes and alcohol pairings that conveyed moods such as 'chill', 'adventurous', 'upbeat', 'elegant' and 'intimate'. Similarly, guests can search for their choice of dining experience based on these five moods, by visiting The Table's mobile-friendly digital platform (www.Golden-Circle. com/TheTable). The site also features snaps shared by satisfied diners via its Instagram hashtag, #fromthetable, as well as stories and interactive videos that highlight chefs responsible for the culinary creations that end up on diners' tables.
