12 THE WOLVERINE NOVEMBER 2016   INSIDE MICHIGAN ATHLETICS 0.0 Is the passer rating allowed by senior cornerback Jourdan Lewis through Oct. 21, according to Pro Football Focus. Lewis missed the first three games of the season, but over the next three he was in coverage on 76 snaps and allowed just seven receiving yards while picking off one pass. 1 Was U-M's rank after the win over Rutgers in ESPN's Football Power Index, a measure that takes into account efficiency, effectiveness while the game is still in doubt and many other factors. Michigan dropped to No. 2 after its bye, but the Index still gave the Wolverines a 35.4 percent chance of winning out and a 46.5 percent chance of winning the Big Ten. 2 Is where redshirt sophomore linebacker Jabrill Peppers ranked in FOXSports.com's Oct. 5 countdown of the best players in college football. "Without a doubt the most excit- ing defensive player in the nation," the website noted. 2 Uncommitted five-star prospects were projected to end up at Michigan by Rivals.com national recruiting analyst Mike Farrell in an Oct. 5 article; he predicted Brooklyn (N.Y.) Poly Prep offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson (the No. 6 prospect nationally) and Detroit Cass Tech wideout Donovan Peoples- Jones (No. 13) to sign with Jim Harbaugh's program. 4 Is where rookie Rashan Gary checks in on Pro Football Fo- cus' listing of the top true freshmen in college football. The New Jersey native has 20 tackles, five tackles for loss and one sack, but the web site notes "perhaps most impressive has been Gary's ability to even see the field on Michigan's loaded defensive line, but he's stepped right in and contrib- uted from day one." 5 Michigan ice hockey players were included in The Hockey News' Top 75 Players To Watch in 2016, tying Notre Dame for second nationally (Boston University had seven). The hon- orees were freshman defender Luke Martin (No. 17), sopho- more forward Brendan Warren (No. 44), rookie forward Nick Pastujov (No. 58), sophomore defender Joe Cecconi (No. 68) and rookie forward Will Lockwood (No. 74). 10/1 Are the odds for Peppers to win the Heisman Trophy at the Westgate Super Book in Las Vegas, as of Oct. 17. Only four players — all quarterbacks — boasted better chances. 12 Is the listing of Michigan's golf course in Golfweek's ranking of the best on-campus courses in America for 2016. 54 Percent is how often the Wolverine defense successfully pressures the opposing quarterback on dropbacks, ac- cording to Pro Football Focus through Oct. 9. The national average at the time was 29.5 percent, and fifth-year senior lineman Chris Wormley was leading the Wolverines with 19 pressures. By The NUMBERS 8 Touchdowns scored in the first six games by redshirt junior fullback KHALID HILL, who has just 21 offensive touches on the year. Hill's TD total was tied for 32nd nationally as of Oct. 17. PHOTO BY PER KJELDSEN
