The Seeley's Bay Area Residents' Association is hosting a public meeting Thursday, Oct. 20 which will include a panel of guests speaking about local economic trends. The regional Economic Development Consultant from the Ontario Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), Katie Nolan, will moder- ate the panel. Guests include Brian Berry of Rock-a-berry Farms, Hany Girgis owner of the Seeley's Bay Drug- mart, Earle Thompson of Thompson Electric and Cindy Healy of Ridgway Confections. The Residents' Associ- ation represents a broad area, from the Burnt Hills/Carrying Place com- munity in the south, to Whitefish/Thomas Road in the north, east to Sweets Corners, Olivet, and the Deryaw Road communi- ties. All are welcome. The meeting will be 7:30 p.m, Thursday, Octo- ber 20, at the Community Hall above the fire station on the Main Street of See- ley's Bay.
