The classic styling and quality will last for many years to come. Please add sales tax if you live in IN (7%) shot a bow and arrow after falling to the ground while hitting a three-pointer, a show of her flare — but can be sullen during bad ones. She'll glare at opponents, scowl at them. She'll get frustrated. But now she's including her teammates in her fight. "Honestly, I didn't feel like I fit that mold of a typical lead- er. Sometimes I still don't think I still fit that typical mold, where you are doing all things positive and doing every- thing correct," she said. "I feel like I created my own path to becoming that type of person." Coach Sharon Versyp thinks others follow Morrissette because she plays with an edge, sort of that us-against-the- world mentality that the coach often tries to foster. "I want her on my team. She's one kid I wouldn't want to have to play against," the 11th-year coach said. "You've got to have good sportsmanship and great solid players, but you've got to have a couple with edge. That's where you're competitive and win the battles. You can't be nice all the time. She's always had that, but with our kids, they look to Ashley and you see that respect immediately. They love playing with her." And in doing that, Morrissette's become the best version of herself she can be. "Some people are born leaders, and I wouldn't say that about her," Keys said. "But she has embraced her role of being a senior and being a captain of our team. A lot of people look up to her. She has done a great job of reaching out to people and helping people. She has done a good job of keeping people accountable, saying that this, this, and this need to be done." Morrissette has grown in leadership as she's tried to try improve on the court. That's been a gradual process. As a sophomore, when she moved into the starting lineup, Morrissette averaged double-figure scoring but wasn't ef- ficient, shooting less than 36 percent from the field, only 26 percent from three-point range. The latter, though, took a big jump last season, as she hit almost 36 percent from long range, a bit better overall. She thinks it can be improved again as a senior. "I feel like I need to work on transition threes more,"
