In March, it will host the 2017 Minnesota Hockey Bantam A and AA State Tournaments, where winning teams can pose with their trophies in front of a model Red Baron biplane in the foyer. "We're still in the stage of learning everything about the rink and everything it has to offer," says Rahm, adding that their plans for day-to-day operations are still a work in progress. As Marshall athletes go into their 2016-2017 seasons, they have a lot to look forward to. Youth in the Marshall Amateur Hockey Association and Southwest Figure Skating Club get to practice after school. The public has an open skate on the weekends. The Marshall High School Tigers get a new home rink. Adults can play at a Wednesday-night drop-in. Rahm even suggests the arena will help local college Southwest Minnesota State University build a club hockey program.
