Just think of it…. An evening stroll or a wagon ride amidst trees and buildings that are all mag- ically lit with holiday lights. If this interests you, then Lower Beverley Lake Park is the place for you this holiday season. Launching on Novem- ber 19, Delta Park will be open for tours on five con- secutive Saturday nights. More than 85,000 Christmas lights will adorn the trees and build- ings throughout the park and will highlight various theme corners, a candy cane lane, a gingerbread house, a nativity scene, Santa's workshop and a miniature display of Delta's heritage buildings. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will be on hand to receive those special wish lists, pose for photographs and give out holiday treats. Home cooked meals will also be available dur- ing each Saturday night of the festival at the United Church starting with a chili dinner followed by a spaghetti supper, a shep- herd's pie dinner, a chick- en stew and biscuit meal concluding with a turkey dinner on December 17. Reservations are required for meals on December 10 and 17 and can be made by contacting Pat at 613-928-2712 or harymary@ripnet.com. Wagon rides will begin a trek to the park from the Delta Fair Grounds start- ing at 5:00 p.m. Through- out the festival, tours of the Old Stone Mill will be available between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Admission costs of $5.00 per adult apply while children 12 years of age and under are free.
