BETA 125 RR-S
Beta has come on strong
over the past few years, and
the comparatively small
manufacturer from Italy
continues to refine its bikes
with continuing success in
the desert. The 125 RR-S,
however, is completely new
for Beta, and is reminiscent
of a time when you'd see
lots of motor homes at
campgrounds with a little
trail bike hung onto the rear
bumper.
This motor bike could
bring that trend back. It's a
small dual-sport that, like
its larger RR-S brothers, is
street-legal in all 50 states.

The 125, however, isn't based
on any existing off-road-only
RR. Designed more as a fun
little trail bike rather than
street-legal racer replica, the
125 RR-S is still a full-size
machine, although its low
35.5-inch seat height as well
as the mellow liquid-cooled
four-stroke engine (with
cooling fan, electric starting
and six-speed transmission
standard) makes it friendlier
to the smaller statured rider.
The larger, more experienced
pilot will also appreciate
the chassis and suspension
that are more robust than
your typical play bike, and at
$4999, the price tag is also
pretty friendly.
