ATTACK -2004 SCORE
BAJA 1000
The Herbst/Smith racing
team is a fixture within
SCORE Racing over the
decades. Back in 2004, the
team was aching for an
overall victory at the SCORE
Baja 1000. The team had
already built its famous "Land
Shark" truggy, that began a
string of wins with legendary
racer Larry Roeseler. In
2004 the "Land Shark" took
a bite out of the Baja desert
allowing the Herbst team with
an overall SCORE victory.
ROBBY GORDON
STRIKES BACK - 2006
SCORE BAJA 1000
While Robby Gordon has
always been one of the
fastest racers in the SCORE
Trophy Truck division, he still
struggled for many years to
win an overall SCORE Baja
1000 race. In 2006, Gordon
was faced with some heavy
competition from Larry
Roeseler and BJ Baldwin.
One of the big setbacks was
that Gordon started 31st,
but he teamed up with Andy
McMillin during this race
and managed to carve out
another overall SCORE Baja
1000 victory.
