A drug raid on Old River Road in the Town- ship of Leeds and Thou- sand Islands Oct. 6 has resulted in charges against four men this week. As a result of the war- rant last month, police located a large scale mari- juana production operation and seized approximately 544 marijuana plants, 146 lbs. of dried marijuana, 82 lbs. of cannabis resin oil, 41 grams of cannabis resin hashish, .5 grams of crack cocaine, Canadian and American currency and paraphernalia consistent with production and pack- aging. Street value of the seized drugs is estimated at $1.2 million dollars. Charged with produc- tion of marijuana and pos- session for the purpose of trafficking is: •Matias Denti, 28 from Front Escott Township; •Jeffrey John Good, 29, from Augusta Township; •Earl William Knowles, 44, from Edwardsburgh Township and •Seven Willem Kruize, 43, of Front Escott Town- ship. All accused were released from custody and are to appear Dec. 16, 2016 at Ontario Court of Justice, Brockville. This investigation is ongoing at this time.
