In addition, Frank Muir of the Idaho Potato Commission, John Keeling of the National Potato Council, and Blair Richardson of Potatoes USA will provide updates on the efforts of their respective organizations. Concurrent sessions preceding and following the featured lineup will be held throughout the day to address various aspects of potato production, including disease, pest and weed management as well as nutrition and irrigation. Like last year, a wi-fi hotspot will be offered. Pesticide handler credits from the Idaho and Washington agriculture departments will be available. OPEN INVITATION University of Idaho invites growers to Potato Conference The 2017 University of Idaho Potato Conference will be held Jan. 17 through 19, 2017, in the Pond Student Union Building at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. This conference marks the 35th anniversary of the combined potato schools and the 49th consecutive annual offering of all University of Idaho potato schools. The conference will be hosted in conjunction with the 38th Annual Eastern Idaho Ag Expo. The Ag Expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday at ISU's Holt Arena. The Potato Conference will run from 8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Thursday. Growers, consultants, shippers, industry reps, researchers, extension educators and anyone who wants to learn more about potatoes won't want to miss out on this annual event.
