Issue 41 / 2012 www.guestlist.net FESTIVAL 21 7 SOUTH WEST FOUR @ Clapham Common 25th & 26th August SW4 have stepped up their game this year to ensure a line up of mammoth proportions. Formed focally as a Dance Music Weekender in 2005, since its inception a number of legendary artists have graced the stages on Clapham Common that have seen its popularity rise to such an extent that 2012 promises to be its biggest yet. Compounded by a UK Festival Exclusive performance from Hip Hop heavyweights Public Enemy, there will also be Exclusive London Festival sets on the Saturday from House Connoisseurs Carl Cox, Erick Morillo and John Digweed. This year will also see a plethora of Electronic A-listers grace the stage including Skrillex, Chase & Status, Diplo, 2ManyDJs and Andy C to name a few. All tickets are completely sold-out and with the seriously weighty line up now fully revealed, the countdown is in full swing. Epic! KENDAL CALLING 27TH- 29TH JULY The Lake District has continuous support and love for Kendal Calling which takes place right at its gateway is so brilliant. Attracting all walks of life from various ends of the musical spectrum, this relatively new and independently run festival has had people returning from the very beginning. It all started six years ago as a tiny, 900 people music event, it now attracts over 15,000 people yearly and a huge variety of different acts. It has moved from the green fields of Kendal to the historic Lowther estates near the town of Penrith. The joys of small, more intimate festivals for me is not feeling like you're being sold at a cattle market, acquiring a drink within five minutes of deciding you want one and never missing an act because you don't have to go round by Timbuktu to get to the next stage. There really is something for everyone. Past years have seen performances from the likes of Blondie, Calvin Harris and House of Pain. As the cliche goes, 2012 promises to be bigger than ever, with the three headliners being James, Dizee Rascal and Maximo Park. Traditional, rural entertainment and contemporary arts are always at the centre of this innovative festival. WIN 2 X WEEKEND CAMPING TICKETS TO GLOBAL GATHERING 2012 Global Gathering 2012 - The UK's most diverse and progressive electronic music festival returns on Friday 27th and Saturday the 28th of July. Featuring headlining performances from Tinie Tempah, Chase and Status, Armin van Buren, Skrillex, Friendly Fires, Nero, Annie Mac, Sub Focus, Magnetic Man, Boy Better Know and much much more, this promises to be one of the festival highlights of 2012 and a must for dance music fans. Just answer the following question: Where is Global Gathering Held? Send your entry to competitions@guestlist.net WIN
