Massive stride for drum & bass music as Rudimental take the number one slot on the top 40 due to their 2012 summer anthem 'Feel The Love'. In the wake of the massive release of single 'Feel The Love' the Hackney based electronic quartet Rudimental have been enjoying a great start to their summer. Not only did Zane Lowe dub 'Feel The Love' the 'Hottest Record In The World', this week they also took the number 1 slot on the singles chart. This even scored them an official charts number one trophy to take home. The (Feat. John Newman), infectious high-energy summer anthem is already a must have. But things are only going to get more exciting for Rudimental fans from here. As well as more releases in the near future, the group will also be touring all summer long coming prepared with a live show so sick it could even get the most reserved so called raver off the bar and onto the dance floor. The Canadian DJ/Producer is on the rise, and rightly so, having already played with the likes of Skrillex, Zeds Dead, Porter Robinson and Gemini (to name a few). Uploading incredible mixes of multiple genres featuring various artists on his youtube as well as loads of massive original material on his soundcloud, this is an artist definitely worth checking out. His production material sways toward the more commercial side of dubstep, but remains unique and is in no way cheesey, not to mention its pretty damn heavy. THE PLAYGROUND'S RETURN A night of dirty electro, Dubstep and drum n bass with some of the hottest producers working on the darker side of electronic music for a single line-up at Camden's infa- mous KOKO on Saturday the 14th July. D&B pioneers returned to London last month for their last big event before the famous Innovation In The Sun Festival. Smooth track with a slick vid- eo to accompany the latest single from Metalheadz artist Lenzman Metalheadz Recordings aren't a label known for letting fans down. After last months re- lease of Jubei and Flowdan's massive single 'Say Nothing', Metalheadz have just release d yet another single to add to the summer vibes playlist. Lenzman is a pinnacle art- ist on the Metalheadz roster. A highly established artist in the drum n bass world, his lat- est release consists of smooth drum n bass bangers 'How Did I Let U Go' featuring vo- cals by the beautiful Riya and 'Wardsworth' on the b side. These are two tracks that are must haves for all drum n bass heads. 'How Did I Let U Go' is the type of track that gets into your soul, then lines it with champagne, silk furniture and dim lighting, the perfect ingre- dients for a classy party. With a great hook and Lenzman's excellent you're left wanting to keep this track on repeat. B side track 'Wordsworth' steps up the en- ergy and thickens the bass a bit more, providing fans to ex- perience Lenzman's produc- tion skills as well as versatility even more.
